See Jessica Biel's New Darren Aronofsky-Directed Revlon Commercial (Video)

Jessica Biel was able to do a little networking while filming the commercial for Revlon's newest product, Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara.

Darren Aronofsky, of Black Swan and The Wrestler fame, was the director.

"I'd love to do a film with him," Biel told The Hollywood Reporter from the London Hotel in New York City, joking that she sold herself hard on set. "It was the beginning of our relationship." PHOTOS: Behind Jessica Biel's style

Filming the commercial "was amazing," she went on. "It was like shooting a movie. It was so creative."

Biel gave THR the update on her latest projects. Will she star in the remake of Total Recall, as has been rumored? "Hopefully," she says. Her next film, Playing the Field, a "dramedy" co-starring Uma Thurman and Gerard Butler will be released "probably in the spring" of 2012. PHOTOS: Summer blockbusters

She will also star in ensemble comedy New Year's Eve (alongside Halle Berry, Ashton Kutcher, Robert De Niro, Lea Michele and others), out this December.

"I play a hugely pregnant woman," she told THR. "It was very feminine. I kept touching my stomach. It didn't feel like an alien." (But, the newly single star played coy on her relationship with ex Justin Timberlake; when asked if she watched his recent turn on Saturday Night Live, she said, "I was at a wedding. I'll have to Google it.")

Biel, a spokeswoman for Revlon, says her everyday makeup look is very "simple," but she looks forward to experimenting on film. For The Tall Man, for example, she looked very "gothic with dark hair. I was really excited. It was really different."

When not on set, she usually wears just sunscreen, lip gloss and Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara and lets her hair air dry.

Her best beauty tips? "Sleep, water and healthy eating," says the actress, who keeps a gluten-free diet and prefers to snack on hummus, green beans, carrots and almond butter.
