The legal battle regarding Nevada?s republican Senator John Ensign?s extra long marital affair has dragged his parents into the criminal charges with the $96,000.00 gift to his mistress. Ensign?s legal problems are just beginning to surface.

One missing piece of the puzzle is whether John Ensign?s wife was involved in the sex scandal or whether there was a ?wife swapping scenerio? also going on in this sex scandal of senators and their hired staffers.

John Ensign?s wife, Darlene Ensign has not filed for a divorce through out the past three years her husband carried on with covering up his affair until he confessed on June 17, 2009 admitting he had the affair.

It is all rather suspicious she did not immediately divorce her husband as did Jenny Sanford of South Carolina did in 2009 when her husband Senator Mark Sanford revealed he found his soul mate in Argentina with another woman.

The Sorted Sex Affair Details of US Senator John Ensign

John Ensign legal problems include that he had his parents sign an affidavit that they gave $ 96,000 to his mistress Cynthia Hampton to prove his parents gave her the money.? Ensign had slept with his best friend?s wife the wife of Doug Hampton a chief of staff of his campaign.

It Gets Much Worse

Ensign legal problems also led to his firing the Hamptons? both when the sex stopped and gave them a payoff through his parents and did not report the money to the Federal Elections Commission which is a violation.

Following this he helped Mr. and Mrs. Hampton to set up a lobbying business that would lobby Ensign?s own office which violates many federal laws on lobbying and ethics. Another violation. Is there no end to the morality, gall and a code of ethics of this ego driven man?

Senator Ensign Wants to Run again in 2012

The good senator Ensign legal problems also led to a few official events in Nevada as if nothing had happened reaching out for more money for his legal defense, campaign donations and continues to run for another term. Ensign is appealing to the morally right wing conservatives in Nevada with a track record that makes Mark Sanford appear like a saint.

The lack of ethics of this whole affair is further deep into violations when Ensign registered his legal defense fund as A Tax Exempt 527 Political organization. Another violation.

Ensign even sent out an appeal to his republican supporters begging for money for lawyers although he acknowledges his sex scandal and denies any ethics violations which are criminal offenses.

Ensign an Evangelical, denies all of this in a shameful attempt to cover up the fact that he broke all laws, induced people to lobby him and used his office for private payoffs, sexual affairs and manipulated his own parents to cover it all up.

Here we see the twisted moral ethics of a republican candidate for the US Senate that describes a sense of entitlement and breaking the law who runs on ?family values?.

Ensign is all within the definition of a man that lacks any moral code in a pathetic attempt to hang on to his seat.

Senator Ensign now tries to play the victim and denies he had any involvement in the pay off scheme he devised through his own parents, using them as a shield against criminal charges.

An indictment is the only way to stop such criminal behavior and he could possibly be running as a candidate from a jail cell.

Tom Coburn Implicated in Cover Up of Ensign Sex and Ethics Affair

Another US Senator Republican Tom Coburn of Oklahoma denies that he was a negotiator -broker of the deal between Ensign and Doug Hampton?s lawyers.? But Coburn revealed that he spoke to Hampton?s attorney in May of 2009 and stated he was ?simply passing along information to Ensign, but through Hampton?s lawyer which does not make any sense.

Now that Senator Tom Coburn?s involvement into the sex affairs of Senator Ensign it says much about the old boys club in cover ups in republican Senators currently running for re-election in 2012. The C Street Christian fellowship evangelicals including Tim Coe, Marty Sherman also talked to Ensign and Doug Hampton dating back to Feb. 14, 2008 a cheesy mess for the right wing religious group.

Tom Coburn was well aware of the affair and cover up but did not report it even though it went on for 16 months.? This brings in an investigation that must include Tom Colburn?s influence in the criminal investigation and the pay off of the $ 96,000 dollars.

Apparently when the evangelicals attempted to get Ensign to stop the sexual affair and failed they went to his father who said he would handle it. (Huffington Post). In this report Ensign is accused by the Finance and Ethics Committee and attempted to obstruct the investigation.

The FEC referred the matter to the Department of Justice for further criminal charges for this wanton man who defies morals, ethics, broke the law, attempted a coverup, obstructed justice and is still running for office in 2012.

Prosecutors would be failing to uphold the law if they let Ensign off without criminal charges with the substantial and credible evidence of crimes committed by this US Senator or the country will accuse the Justice Department of aiding and abetting a criminal.

Previously the Justice Department refused to lay charges and informed Ensign?s lawyers that he was no longer a target in their investigation. (Las Vegas Review Journal).
