5 Top Performances in History of NBA 3-Point Shooting Contest

The Three-Point Contest is one of the staples of All-Star Saturday night, and unlike the Slam Dunk Contest, it is an event that never seems to get old.? Larry Bird started us off in the mid-80s by winning the first three titles, but there have been some pretty standout performances since that time.

Players have gotten into rhythms that make them look like they will never miss a shot again and other players have come and just put up brick after brick after brick.? When you are rooting for your favorite player or hometown representative, it makes you nervous to see if they can produce.

There have been some veterans who have shown that they have ice in their veins when they start pulling balls from the rack.? Some of these players are proven three-point shooters and some are guys who made certain moments in their career standout.

This year?s contestants include the Golden State Warriors? Stephen Curry, New York Knicks? Steve Novak, New Orleans Hornets? Ryan Anderson, San Antonio Spurs? Matt Bonner, Cleveland Cavaliers? Kyrie Irving and Indiana Pacers? Paul George.? We shall see if any of those shooters can crack these top five performances in the history of the Three-Point Contest.
