Express Flame set to ignite the field of the Williamhill.com Northern Puppy Derby ? Heat 4 ?
The fourth heat of the Williamhill.com Northern Puppy Derby has brought together some really good hounds who have recently polished their skills at the open level. Six will race over 480 metres flat in order to take back the ?150 prize money to the connections from the race that is scheduled for Saturday, 6th October at Newcastle.
Teejays Bluehawk, Kinloch Tiger, Lookoutforflash, Mags Alibi, Swift Whiskey and Express Flame are racing the challenge tonight.
Kinloch Tiger, Lookoutforflash and Express Flame fall into an altogether different zone due to the experience at the similar level.
Express Flame, the two-year-old fawn bitch out of, Express Mist, is one of those hounds who did not have to try out any other level than the open level right after a few Grade T races after joining the racing career just this season.
The Chris Allsopp trained had her first success in the Bright Redcliffe Maiden Division 2 on 24th August, 2012 at Perry Barr over 480 metres.
The favourite entry raced in orange. Racing in the middle, she bumped, composed herself and then took on the charge of the track from the fourth spot. It took her 28.91 seconds to make it to the other end, and defeated Cnoc Lad, by 1 ? lengths.
The try before it ended in a fourth position while the one after it culminated into a third ending.
A training session on 12th September, 2012 at Newcastle over 480 metres had her breaking from the fifth trap going wide and settling the distance in 28.82 seconds.
The training session did help the cause as Hondo Black's fawn bitch out of, Express Mist, won the Williamhill.com Northern Puppy Derby Trial Stakes on 22nd September, 2012 at Newcastle over 480 metres.
Breaking out of the sixth trap and then leading from the first position on the other end of the wire in 28.69 seconds. The favourite entry shoved the first trap into the second position by the margin by 3 ? lengths.
The very recent outing was a disappointment, but tonight is backed by 6 to 4 chances for dominating the race.
