Articles 20VN | The Future of Gaming, Flash? | flash games ...

As someone who has been big into games for quite a while now, you might think that me talking about flash games to replace console games is blasphemy. Though I would like you to think about this with me for a minute here, and perhaps you to will see what it is that I see, and thus be a convert. In the beginning the computer games I grew up playing did not use flash, and were very basic. The most advanced game I played was a golf game on my 1995 Compaq Presario. It was fun, but did not offer a whole lot of graphical excitement.

During this same time period I was playing on my PS one, which offered pretty solid gaming performance from Sony. A short while later the PS2 game out and changed gaming forever. I can remember sitting there on Christmas day with my new PS2, playing Madden felt like I was watching an actual football game. During this time however flash started to make its way online, so you can see how it was so overshadowed by the PS2.

These days, you have the Xbox move, PS3 etc. and gaming is at a level it has never been at before. However in my opinion people will end up playing more flash games in the long run. Why? Well in my opinion the attention span of most teens and tweens is rather short, and with console games becoming more in depth than ever before, you can see where I am going with this. Granted a flash game could never do what a console game could do in terms of graphics and such, but it can sure be fun for killing some time, and staying interested for briefs moments.
